The donor provided this information with the doll: "The doll was given to my father, John J. Hubbell, who was an engineer in Washington and Oregon around 1916. The woman was in the habit of bringing baskets to him, which he sold for her. One day she brought him this doll for me" (Margaret Hubbell Aspinwall, 1979). |
